Description:
The Senior Security Manager contributes to the security of Siemens Energy personnel, assets, and operations in Brazil and in Latinamerica, as part of the Siemens Energy Corporate Security organization (SE EQS SEC). The Senior Security Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation and compliance with Siemens Energy security governance requirements, including but not limited to travel and project security, security incident management, crisis management and business continuity, asset protection and physical security, executive and event protection, situation and threat analysis.
How You’ll Make an Impact
The holder of the position provides tactical guidance, operational support, and security consulting to Siemens Energy regional/local Management, Siemens Energy employees, the Head of Security for Latinamerica, and working in close cooperation with external and internal stakeholders.
There is a further responsibility to promote security awareness, conduct trainings (in close collaboration with other functions such as Cyber Security) and to deliver proportionate and cost-effective security measures to support the achievement of business objectives, as well as seeking to simplify and improve processes and procedures.
What You Bring
Relevant academic degree, a professional qualification from a recognized security authority or appropriate security experience through working within law enforcement, regulatory enforcement, military, academic, or equivalent experience.
Ten years of experience working in corporate security or a similar environment in high or medium-risk countries, including practical experience of project management, incident and crisis management, in a multinational company, a security company, or similar experience.
In-depth knowledge of the main political and security issues and trends in Latin america is an advantage.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, strong networking, negotiating, and influencing skills.
Excellent command of English. Spanish is an advantage.
Able to prioritize tasks and to manage workloads in an effective manner with minimal direct supervision and flexibility in managing multiple and diverse tasks.
Ability to analyze and assimilate information from diverse sources, including local and international media outlets, social media outlets, local information sources etc.
Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time critical situations, willingness to work outside of regular working hours in time critical situations.
Wiliness to travel extensively, including in high-risk areas and/or countries.
Sensitive and responsive to the needs of different religious, ethnic, tribal, and cultural groups.
Proven integrity and high personal standards of behaviour.
Experience in working in a multinational and multicultural environment, as well as proven interpersonal skills and ability to successfully engage with diverse audiences.
