Must be a fluent Arabic speaker & understand Libyan dialects
Must have a min of 7 year’s military experience with a minimum of 2 operational tours.
Valid SIA Licence (Close Protection front-line) - Demonstrable experience in close escorting and body-guarding with an accredited close protection training organization
British & Commonwealth passport holders only* – see note below
Full UK Driving Licence including Cat C/C1
Must have a trauma first aid medic qualification
Qualified & experienced in firearms use – Must be recent & specifically pistol, sub-machine gun, carbine, and light machine gun. (full-bore weapons)
Qualified & experienced in armored vehicle driving - Capable and safe driver of heavy armored four-wheel drive vehicles.
*All candidates must be screened to SC level – or eligible for screening so only British & Commonwealth passport holders can apply. Proviso: You must have been resident in the UK for at least two of the previous 10 years immediately prior to your application, at least one year of which must have been a consecutive twelve-month period unless you have served overseas with HM Forces or in some other official capacity as a representative of Her Majesty’s Government, or have lived overseas as a result of your parents’ or partner’s Government employment.
Services
Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the position and include, but not be limited to the provision of ops support to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of FCO, Libya. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:Providing interpretation services in addition to their security role
Operating as a driver in a B6 armoured vehicle as part of a mobile protection team.
Operating as a vehicle commander as part of a mobile protection team.
Acting as a PPO to clients as part of a mobile protection team.
Acting as PPO to clients whilst they conduct their daily duties.
Operating as part of the Residential Security team responsible for securing the Authority’s Tripoli offices on a 24/7 basis.
Conducting both internal patrols and perimeter guarding. The RST will operate in three pairs (a total of 6 guards in theatre), each pair working 8 hour shifts (8 on/16 off) to cover the 24/7 requirement.
Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
