RSO Logistician, Baghdad SME IDIQ Contract

Project Summary:


The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA) continues to support the Government of Iraq (GoI) in its struggle towards continued democratization, improvements in the security environment, and sustained commitment by the GoI for long-term development efforts. The United States Government (USG) assistance, in partnership with the GoI, will support improving the capability and effectiveness at all levels of the Iraqi government, increasing participation of civil society, creating the conditions for more diverse and broad-based economic growth and income generation, catalyzing the transformation of key social sectors (e.g., health and education), and addressing ongoing humanitarian needs. PRO-Telligent is seeking experienced personnel in support of the Baghdad Subject Matter Expert (SME) IDIQ Contract, which establishes the ability for the USG to acquire staff augmentation and related services it requires in furtherance of fulfilling the above mission objectives.

Position Summary:

The Logistician will support the Baghdad SME IDIQ Contract and the Regional Security Office (RSO) Logistics department at the U.S. Embassy located in Baghdad, Iraq. The Logistician will also provide logistical support and property management to include warehouse and supply duties, fleet management, munitions accountably, asset tracking, equipment inventory, office management, clerical duties, document review for content and format, and file maintenance. The Logistician will coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance, schedule inventories, and assist with RSO projects. The Logistician will provide strong customer service skills and maintain accurate records. The Logistician will use a variety of administrative and communication skills to help manage the day-to-day operations of the RSO Logistics Office’s activities and programs and shall stay abreast of security notices and policies. The Logistician’s work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions with business work hours of Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities:
Perform the required general administrative and logistical functions.
Prepare and maintain records, including property, maintenance, and operational records.
Prepare periodic/scheduled reports.
Perform fleet accountably, property and supply control, and inventory tracking.
Coordinate shipping arrangements, documenting that the proper customs, procedures, and standards are adhered to.
Maintain active and accurate accounting of all RSO Logistics equipment and supplies, through a computerized file and accounting system.
Process, monitor, and track procurement orders, work orders and statuses of maintenance requests.
Ensure records and data management/practices are compliant with Government regulations.
Ensure existence, completeness, and accuracy of database files, and perform detailed analysis/audits of records to ensure accuracy.
Ensure customers, officials, and other Government employees are handled in a professional and courteous manner both on the telephone and in person.
Other administrative functions and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required. Current Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) certification preferred.
Valid U.S. driver's license and U.S. tourist passport required.
A minimum of three years of overseas logistics and administrative experience.
A minimum of two years of this experience in property and supply required.
A minimum of one year of this experience in procurement required.
Proficiency with MS Office, to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint and possess sufficient computer skills to manage electronic files and an electronic record keeping system.
Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion as well as problem solving skills with an analytical thought process.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to fifty pounds.
Ability to travel overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable.
Possession of a Secret Security Clearance required.
Level 5/5 in English is required.
