Main Purpose Of The Job
Reporting to the Deputy High Commissioner, the Corporate Services and Security Manager (CSSM) is a key member of the British High Commission, managing a small team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of corporate and security services.
The successful applicant will have strategic responsibility for ensuring finance delivery, security and HR policy is in line with best practice guidance set in London as well as compliant with local law. The central part of this role is working closely with the Deputy High Commissioner to ensure that the Corporate Services team delivers results.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
At least three years relevant experience in either the public or private sector and preferably with direct involvement in management, finance, HR, estates operations, policy and implementation
Experience in managing and/or working in cross-functional teams
Good command of both written and spoken English is essential.
Ability to express ideas and messages clearly and concisely
A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage at all levels.
Ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
Strong customer service skills. Ability to show discretion in handling sensitive information
Team player, willing to work collaboratively and effectively with contacts and colleagues
Resilient and flexible. Ability to multi-task
Good organisational, problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong financial management and IT skills, proficient in MS Office applications
Ability to plan and prioritise
Personal initiative, drive and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
