Security Operations Support Manager, China Outbound / Full- time permanent employee
Organization/Reporting line:
GardaWorld Security, Middle East and Africa (SMEA) / Reporting to the Director, Operations Support with a business line of reporting to Regional Directors and Managing Director, China Outbound.
Place of work/Travel:
DIFC, Dubai, UAE / with regular and often extended periods of travel to GardaWorld’s areas of operations, which include Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, Haiti, and East Africa. Travel may also be required, on occasion, to our corporate management offices in London, Brussels, and Nairobi.
Contact and Cooperation:
Internally: Companywide, Operations, Regional Management Teams, Strategic Clients Group, Operations Support Team, HR, Legal.
Externally: Clients, local government authorities, consultants / contractors of GardaWorld.
Job Outline:
The Security Operations Support Manager will work with different divisions of the company to prepare and kick off the projects successfully, as well as to manage ongoing projects to meet the expectation of the clients’ during the duration of the projects. The role must ensure the Chinese projects are completed within the constraints of time, quality, and budget.
Job Description
Must be able to design and communicate all aspects of project mobilisation, including Recruitment, Mobilisation, Legal, HR, Finance and Operations.
To work together with the Legal department to negotiate with clients and finalize new service agreements and renewals.
To identify candidates with the right qualifications for the projects. To assist the onboarding process and get employment contracts signed before the deployments.
To assist the Finance team to establish the right invoicing mechanism with new clients.
To assist in accounts receivable matters, or whenever there are any payment issues.
To act as the interlocutor between the Operations and the Clients during the duration of the projects. To resolve day-to-day problems, to communicate with team members and clients to make sure the projects are delivered up to expectations and aligned with the company’s policies.
To take ownership of the WeChat and China Outbound marketing campaigns, making sure right PR messages are delivered to the targeted markets i.e. Chinese and Asian clients.
An excellent translator who can translate information that is contextually accurate, from English to Mandarin or vice versa. He/she will be responsible for the accurate translation of documents and emails, as well as attending meetings in which live translations are needed.
Must ensure the effective synergy of all GardaWorld interdepartmental effects to generate project delivery in line with client expectations.
Authority:
As directed and delegated by the Director, Operations Support, and in line with Company Authority Matrix when active.
Experience:
Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
Ability to speak other languages (such as Arabic or French) is desirable but not essential.
Proven work experience in project executions, especially in Oil & Gas and security industries
Work experience in complex environments preferable (Middle East, Africa)
Bachelor degree or higher desirable
