Job Outline:
The incumbent will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, providing of information on security issues in Nigeria. Monthly Report (end of each month): summarizing criminal/incident trend and particular concerns of the month
Weekly Updates (end of each week): summarizing criminal/incident trend and particular concerns of the week
Field Security Report (approximately 5 times/month): summarizing necessary information for Garda world Nigeria office to decide appropriate routes, sites, timing, and countermeasures for planned field trips, Other reports upon request from Garda world Nigeria Office Current political situation, political flashpoints, and the stability of the current regime
Threats which include religious radicalism, ethnic confrontation, drug traffickers and insurgency of rebels in Nigeria and neighboring countries, and how this might impact on the security situation in Nigeria
The security and efficiency of security forces in Nigeria, countering terrorism, hijacking, drug-related crimes, boarder security and common crimes
Trend and characteristics of incidents to analyze risks to Garda world operations
Recommendations for precautionary measures that Garda world Nigeria office should implement if any
The relevant information of natural disasters and their potential influences on the security situation
Other relevant information concerning security on Garda world Nigeria office and its personnel.
Provide direct intelligence-based information and analysis to the Regional Director, Operations room and projects.
Produce specific products and briefings on Nigeria – daily and monthly intelligence summaries, visitors in country security brief, develop any specific threat reports, SMS alerts, spot reports etc.

Must have advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Google map and be able to present and accurately maintain internal and external reporting requirements.
High level command of English language.

Accountability:
The Security Advisor shall collect and analyze security information including terrorism threat, kidnaping in Nigeria from police, military, Ministry of Interior, Bureau of National Investigations, Development Partners as well as other institutions and provide Garda world Nigeria office with the analysis reports and verbal briefing of their summary in a timely manner particularly in the areas Garda world Nigeria office has its operation (around 12 states). Details of necessary reports are shown in section
The Security Advisor shall consult and coordinate with relevant government officials in case Garda world Nigeria office personnel needs assistance on security matter upon the request from Garda world Nigeria office.The Security Advisor shall immediately inform about serious crime/emergent incidents or any warning of security risks such as political demonstration, protests, religious events and so on with Garda world Nigeria office personnel whenever they occur through phone call or Social Network system (SNS) such as WhatsApp or other communication tools.The Security Advisor shall propose measures to improve security information sharing system of Garda world Nigeria office utilizing ICT.Rapid deployment and correspondence in case Garda world Nigeria Office personnel encounters traffic accident, crime, and other troublesIn case Garda world Nigeria Office personnel is involved in traffic accidents, crimes, and other troubles and in need of assistance, the Security Advisor shall rush over to the scene and provide possible support and/or advice to minimize the damage and to protect the safety, property and interests of Garda world Nigeria office and its personnel.
The Security Advisor shall always carry his mobile phone or smartphone and be ready to pick it up and go to the scene of accident or crime when necessary.
The Security Adviser shall draft emergency response procedure based on the regulations and his experiences and update it if necessary.Security Inspections of housing, hotels, and others, as well as mapping the dangerous areas
The Security Advisor shall perform relevant duties concerning security of Garda world Nigeria office and its personnel upon request by Garda world Nigeria office such as mapping dangerous areas in relevant sites, checking security status on Garda world Nigeria office personnel residences.
The Security Advisor shall check security status of travel routes, project sites, hotels, guest houses and relevant locations, etc. prior to missions of Garda world to areas. (1~2 times/month)
Security briefing of new staff/expert of Garda world Nigeria office
The Security Advisor shall provide security briefing to new Garda world personnel such as staff members, and experts on current security situations and preventive measures upon Garda world request.
Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or a similar position in a Nigerian military or security services. Work experience: 10 years or equivalent of more work experience in security related fields.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (International English)
Exceptional report writing.
High level research and proven analytical skills.
Possess deep network within the Nigeria security agencies and local authorities.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Maps.
