Job Description
Overview
**This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**

This position will operate directly under the Installation Operations, Operations Manager. The Physical Security Postal Screener Supervisor (PSPSS) will be the primary contact for overseeing, administering, manning and operations sustainment for Installation Operations and Vectrus management of mail screenings at the Joint Military Mail Terminal (JMMT) on Camp Arifjan. This contractual requirement will be accomplished by screening mail for threats, contraband and prohibited items. The PSPSS willaccomplish this by enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Physical Security Work Instructions. Duties include providing direct supervision and guidance to Physical Security Postal Screeners (PSPS). Responsible for operation of USG provided X-Ray equipment, watching monitors, physical inspection of packages, drafting required reports and liaise with postal workers, Military Police and Criminal Investigation Division as required in the event of discovered contraband and required reporting actions. In the event of an incident, the PSPSS shall take immediate action (short of force) to safeguard personnel and property, contact the appropriate government personnel for disposition and resolution of the incident.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
Provide recommendations to plans, policies, methods, techniques and processes that will improve security and security management on the JMMT mail screening operation.
Ensure PSPS conduct walking patrols of JMMT interior facility surrounding workspace.
Ensure X-Ray baggage scanning machines and equipment are operated in a safe and effective manner.
Responsible for overall standards and efficiency of mail screening process.
May fill in for screeners when they must leave their posts.
Ensure PSPS fulfill their duties and responsibilities IAW Performance Work Statement.
Perform all other duties and assignments as required by IO Senior Leadership as directed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certification: One-year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Associates degree in criminal justice or 5 years’ experience as a Physical Security Guard, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Officer, Military Police or Civilian Law Enforcement Professional.
Have a current and valid US Driver’s License and Passport


Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:

To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. 


As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered. This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines. Compliance with this government requirement is an essential function of the position and is a condition of employment.

Clearance:Active Secret Clearance

Experience:
Ability to write clear concise police/security reports (who, what, when, where and why).
Experience using Interpersonal communication skills to obtain information and deescalate hostile situations.

Skills:
Must be able to use Microsoft office at the basic level.
Must be able to work under pressure while conducting tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Must be able to communicate using Interpersonal communication skills to include conflict resolution.
Understand cultural and diversity issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise the Physical Security Postal Screeners.

Working Conditions:

Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in
the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

Physical Requirements:

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for
some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
