We are currently looking for an AVSEC Manager

About Position:

The primary role of the Aviation Security Manager is to assist in the management, development and implementation of network-wide operational security standards and procedures in accordance with international security legislation ensuring maximum security measures are taken.


Core Job responsibilities:

To develop and update the security program of AEROTRANSCARGO, to ensure that it meets all the requirements in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
To ensure that all company personnel have been notified of the provisions of the security Program.
To monitor the implementation of the security controls and ensure compliance with the security standards through amendment of SP.
Facilitate security threat identification and security risk assessment and management.
To initiate additional security measures or necessary corrective actions, if the assessment shows high level of threat.
To assess the vulnerability of the security processes and procedures.
To maintain aviation security records (security training records, security incident reports, aircraft search check-lists etc.).
To perform personnel background check and security personnel selection and recruitment.
To monitor changes and updates in applicable AVSEC regulations.
To provide input to the development of training material.
To participate in security investigations and security risk assessments.
To provide advice to the Accountable Manager and Nominated Persons on security matters.
Conduct periodically data evaluation as an input to the management evaluation.
Promoting safety awareness and actively encouraging open reporting and feedback.
Participate in ERP exercises and deployments as per Company policies and procedures and in accordance with assigned duties as outlined in the AEROTRANSCARGO Emergency Response Plan.
Participate in internal safety investigations and develop of any recommendations that may arise.


Experience:

Have a Master degree or the equivalent by practical experience and sufficient

knowledge/experience in the Civil Aviation Industry, acceptable to the CAA RM.Have five years relevant work experience of which at least three years’ experience in the domain of aviation security at least 3 years;
Sound knowledge of Knowledge of international and national requirements in the domain of aviation security;
Relevant aviation security trainings;
Managerial and people skills
Successful completion of background check.
