Job Summary:
We are now seeking a qualified and experienced analyst to join our team as a Safety Advisor- Emergency Response for Ukraine. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English with a strong working knowledge of Russian and/ or Ukrainian languages, with experience in the region and expertise with conflict-induced humanitarian crises. This is an emergency context, and you need to be available immediately.
Safety Advisor positions are leaders of INSOs analysis, crisis support, and coordination services. The role offers a unique opportunity to join and shape INSO's emergency response in this complex and growing crisis by providing support to dozens of humanitarian organizations on the ground or preparing to deploy. Successful candidates will be outgoing and resilient, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and contexts give sound practical safety, security, and access advice.
Major Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain an active information network, including NGOs, the UN, military forces, and other national and international security actors to obtain credible and relevant safety information.
* Provide NGOs with timely and credible security information and contextual analysis of the local security situation through daily alerts and analytical reports.
* Effectively represent, promote and protect INSO's mandate of independence, impartiality, and neutrality.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Fluency in English and good working knowledge of Russian and/or Ukrainian.
* Proven writing, editing, and analytical skills and the keenest eye for detail.
* Significant experience in insecure/conflict-affected environments.
* Personal and professional resilience in a fast-moving, high output, quality-driven program.
* Experience in humanitarian project management and/or risk management and/or humanitarian access & coordination sectors.
* Independent drive, motivation, excellence, and ability to operate and sustainably manage staff and teams under strict systems and deadlines.
* Well-developed personal, personnel, organizational, and team management skills and standards in a diverse multi-cultural setting.
* Demonstrable understanding of humanitarian safety practices and principles.
* Commitment to humanitarian principles and values.
* Graduate-level education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Characteristics:
* Recent professional experience in Ukraine, preferably in the humanitarian sector
* Experience with NGO security and/or project management.
* Existing local information networks.

Terms & Conditions: 3-month contract (renewable), €4550 per month salary, four calendar days annual leave per month and seven days of R&R, accommodation, global medical coverage (excluding the USA), USD 200,000 AD&D coverage.
