Assistant Special Security Representative

Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an Assistant Special Security Representative to support a large intelligence support services contract in the CENTCOM AOR. The program supports the coordination, planning, and execution of intelligence collection operations, exploitation, production, dissemination, and analytic support in coordination with other entities and agencies.

Responsibilities

This role will include, but is not limited to, personnel security management including adjudication of clearances for contract personnel, clearance applications, etc.; as well as the security policies, procedures, and requirements stipulated by the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and DoD 5220.22-M, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
Ensuring proper level of security clearance is held by contractors for the SCIF(s) and/or technology they utilize in their role.


Qualifications

Active in scope TS/SCI clearance.
Associates Degree or four years DoD experience with strong job related experience and special skills is a plus.
4 years of experience in compartmented programs in DoD/IC is a
Ability to work with customers and provide special security
Solid and varied experience in planning/accrediting facilities IAW DCID 1/12
Thorough familiarity with all security clearance
Working knowledge of AR 25-50.
Working knowledge of security policies and procedures to include NISPOM, NISPOM supplement, DCIDS, DoD and DIA M-1
Ability to meet and sustain all pre-deployment and deployment medical and dental screening process requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
2 - 4 years’ experience in security training or security inspections.
Deployed experience in Iraq, Syria, or Afghanistan preferred.
CDSE Certificate in Security, (Generalist).
Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.


Working Conditions

Frequent travel and TDY within the USCENTCOM AOR.
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
