DanChurchAid (DCA) is looking for an experienced International MW Operator/Mechanic Trainer HRMA. The position is seventeen and half month’s position with the possibility of extension based on performance and donor funding. Duty station will be Juba with frequent travels to field locations.**

DCA is working with local partners in South Sudan to assist the poorest of the poor with a focus on protection, combating hunger, working for peace and conflict mitigation and the safe removal of explosive remnants of war (EWR).

To Provide training and refresher training of previously accredited Operators and capacity building of new operators should the need arise, on both Operations and Mechanical Maintenance

To provide technical support to the Mechanical Operators in the field and ensure the MMWs maximise their productivity by minimising down days.

Scope of Role

To provide mechanical support to the Mechanical Team in the field as directed by the Operations Manager HRMA Fleet and Logistician

Reporting relationships internal/external customers

Internal Report to the HRMA Fleet and Logistician

Key responsibilities
Taking the lead in the repairs and maintenance of the Mini Mine Wolf, including their supporting heavy transportation equipment – trucks, trailers and mobile/static workshops, Toyota Land cruisers and maintenance equipment.
Operating and overseeing mechanical clearance operations with the LN operator.
Assisting the FLEET MANAGER in stores and stock control of all assets under his control
Assisting the FLEET MANAGER in the planning and implementation of transportation of the Mechanical Team’s equipment to and from their Areas of Operation, as tasked by the Operations Manager
Responsibility, for the management of Home Country National Mechanics /Operators involved in operating and maintaining of the Mechanical Team and their supporting vehicles/workshops/Generators
Implementation of a maintenance and repair schedule to ensure that the Mini Minewolf machines, and support equipment’s are serviceable, at all times as per the DCA requirements
Any other duties required to full fill his roll

Key Performance Indicators
No operational days lost due to vehicle down-time
Required vehicle parts reported in a timely manner so as not to delay maintenance / repair requirements
