As part of the launch of the new NES project, HAMAP-Humanitaire is looking for a Diver minesweeper Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the clearance diver scours the depths of the water to find any explosive devices and defuse them. On land, he / she neutralizes the explosives discovered at sea.

More specifically, he / she:
Supports the demining team in diving and demining training in an underwater environment, ensures continuous mentoring of the trained team over the duration of the project.
Assistance in the planning of operations and the areas of intervention of the various teams, in particular operations in underwater environments.
Feeds operational reports on activities, in particular demining operations;
Explore the waters in “autonomous” diving or in a scuba diving suit, with air, pure oxygen or oxygenated mixtures to detect mines or any other explosive device.
Locate the explosives to be neutralized and defuse them.
Intervenes in demining operations with non-specialized teams.
In conjunction with the operations team, he / she ensures compliance with the Standing Operating Procedures (POP) and provides recommendations for new approaches or modifications, to increase the safety or efficiency of demining work methods.

Specialist in scuba diving, endowed with indisputable physical capacities.
Demonstrate unfailing physical and mental strength.
Advanced knowledge of explosive devices.

Adaptation, flexibility and the ability to work in a team.
Rigor, composure, analytical skills and speed in decisions.
Being able to lead a team and an operation while maintaining composure in difficult situations.

Terms & Conditions
Fixed-term contract 
Gross monthly income: from 2,750 Euros to 3,500 Euros depending on experience in international solidarity.
Risk premium
Daily living expenses (“Per diem”).
Housing in collective accommodation.
Rotations: number to be determined.
