Summary:
Responsible for leading, managing and coordinating the safety and security of the President/CEO and other executives while on official business both domestically and internationally. This will include both personally providing a security presence, including occasional driving/personal escort, as well as coordinating, planning and management of executive and event security with internal partners such as event planners, external security agencies; such as law enforcement, and contracted security services. Will assist with other Global Security Operations as needed including Project Management and the establishment and management of a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
Responsibilities:
Directs and manages the Company’s protective services program for the President/CEO and immediate family members that includes personal protection, corporate facilities, residence(s), airfield and event security, ground and air transportation, protocol, personal assistance and special projects.
Manages on and off-site planning, coordination and execution of plans for visiting dignitaries to include the Board of Directors, Leaders of other organizations, major account customers, Heads of State, political leaders and others.
Develops and Implements the policies, procedures and systems required for maintaining and enhancing the overall organization's protective services organizational mission.
Manages security for sizeable corporate events and gatherings of senior leaders to include planning and delivery of professional security vendors for international meetings and conferences.
Develops and documents standards of measurement of quality and effectiveness of programs.
Monitors executive travel, reporting any security / safety issues which impact the travelers and providing such assistance as is necessary to ensure the security and safety of executives.
Develops and maintains wide range of intra and interagency coordination.
Determines need for and manages procurement, installation and operational instruction of security equipment required at the residence, vacation homes or offices of executives.
Develops and maintains personal profiles and conducts risk assessment of all personnel covered by protective services.
Identifies groups, individuals and emerging technologies that may pose threat to executives.
Keeps Global Security Leadership informed on major accomplishments, issues and concerns.
Provides protocol, personal assistance and special projects support as requested.
Works closely with the Special Events Team leadership as well as the Executive Assistants in support of executive leadership to ensure security at large events and for traveling executives.
Requirements:
B.S. / B.A required, Master’s degree preferred.
Specialized Security and First Aid courses and certifications are highly desirable.
10-15 years prior law enforcement and/or corporate security leadership experience; experience with the Secret Service, Department of State Diplomatic Security Service or other federal executive protection program is highly desirable.
Must be willing and able to legally possess and carry a firearm
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and some weekends
Highly organized, professional with the ability to work independently
Experience working in or managing Operations Centers is highly desirable
Working well under pressure while providing a high level of service; professional demeanor and a good team player
Excellent physical health
Long periods of sitting or standing and occasional heavy lifting required
Strict confidentiality and situational sensitivity a must
Must have current driver’s license and passport
International travel experience is a plus
Communication and liaison skills are a must
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Other language fluency a plus, especially Dutch, Lithuanian, and Hindi
Driving and frequent air travel
Ability and willingness to travel globally as much as 50%
