Executive Protection Detail (EPD) Drivers
Objective
This position is under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and is responsible for the safe transportation of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Administrator and Deputy Administrator (Principals) via armored vehicle or soft sedan on official business in the Washington D.C. area.
Job Duties
Ensuring that the motorcade vehicles are ready for operation at the beginning of their shift.
Transport all fleet vehicles to the appropriate vehicle service centers for routine maintenance and repairs.
Provide monthly vehicle mileage, and all expenditure receipts for gas, routine maintenance and repair to the Fleet Program Assistant.
Drivers work under the directions of DEA EPD Special Agents at all times.
Drivers may be assigned other administrative or official tasks related to the needs of the unit as well as the needs of DEA's Administrator.
Qualifications
Candidate Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be 25 years of age or older
Must be high school/GED graduate
Must posses a clearance level of Top Secret issued by U.S. Department of Defense
Must have one of the following:
3 years security experience
Law enforcement
Military service (active duty or reserve) with and honorable discharge
Professional driving experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
The applicant is required to submit to pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable).
Drivers will be required to attend the Counter Terrorism Driving Course.
Drivers will be required to be certified as first responders.
