Primary Function
To provide daily static and mobile shift leadership for the Flight Line Security Department that compliant with and fully supports the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Key responsibilities are to supervise and account for trained personnel who will protect strategic assets within flight line as directed by Senior Security Managers. Comply and follow relevant sections of ISO 18788 ‘Management Systems for Private Security Operations’. Reports to the Flight Line Security Supervisor
Responsibilities
Oversees daily flight line security operations and integrates all elements of the organization to ensure security posture is maintained. Assumes duties as the Flight Line Security Supervisor in his/her absence as directed.
Ensures a standing security posture is provided
Supports asset and restricted/controlled area protection, to include intellectual property.
Supports development of plans, policies, and procedures in relation to flight line security
Works with host country forces junior leadership to mentor and provide guidance on all aspects of protection level resource security
Work with other departments, both inside and outside Security Group, to support the training and mentoring of host country forces
Consistently demonstrates weapon proficiency and maintains weapons qualifications for all assigned weapons
Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and practices set forth by senior leadership
Must be able to consistently display behavior of the highest professional and ethical standards that would preclude any negative perceptions of the company or the host nation. Furthermore, must be able to project/or enforce these standards on those they are leading
Applies sound judgment in executing operational requirements of the host nation Base Defense Plan (BDP) and the Performance Work Statement (PWS)
Job Requirements
Must possess a current passport
Must possess verifiable (5) years Combat Arms experience or equivalent employment at ideally the rank of junior Non-commissioned Officer
Possess an elevated understanding of restricted/controlled area security.
Knowledge of company’s security policies and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with persons at all levels
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to exercise discretion and make effective decision
Technical and tactical ability to perform incident command and control
Technical and tactical proficiency with various small arms weapons used in support of company operations
Must be able to don and wear protective equipment for up to 12 hours a day.
Must be able to perform walking and vehicle patrols, both day and night
Preferred Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of security concepts and standards such as on a military air force base. Prefer Combat Arms experience
Excellent eye for detail, strict adherence to approved process’ and procedures.
Consistently demonstrate integrity, trustworthiness, loyalty and commitment.
Willing to be flexible regarding hours and respond quickly to time sensitive or urgent requirements
Ability to work in austere conditions with the potential for an element of danger
Understanding of cultural factors and sensitivities when working with Iraqi Military and Iraqi civilian co-workers
