In-Country Technical Investigative Unit (TIU) Chief Logistical Support Officer (LSO)

The Chief LSO is responsible for the risk and security management of the TIU program to include providing security advice and guidance, providing threat evaluation in coordination with the US Embassy, facilities security and procedures, mission continuity, disaster response and evacuation planning. When directed by the Chief LSO is also responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects (as it relates to the contractor workforce) in support of US CENTCOM and DEA priorities.
The Chief LSO will:
have an active SECRET security clearance and a valid US passport.
support security control assessment and continuous monitoring of the organization's functions.
provide recommendations concerning safeguarding of information systems.
conduct comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls employed within or inherited by an information system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls.
conduct impact analyses of controls on proposed system changes.
implement a continuous monitoring strategy appropriate for systems, leveraging existing tools, efforts and incorporating new security techniques such as vetting employees, badging, and information security.
review Security Plan (Site Security Plan or Site Security Assessment) such as physical security
work in conjunction with the In-Country Site Lead to manage the day-to-day operations and mitigation of minor to major disruptions.
coordinate with stakeholders including DEA and US Embassy RSO for issues related to site security.
meet with USCENTCOM Officer in Charge (OIC) Forward twice weekly.
brief USCENTCOM OIC daily on safety and security status as well as operations continuity
briefs locally employed TIU staff on security and operations continuity issues
attend meetings of the Department of State (DoS), Department of Diplomatic Security in relation to the program
manages personnel safety and security, operations safety, security, continuity, and compliance
provide risk and security reports and briefings as required by USG


Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in the CENTCOM AOR.
Must be able to be medically cleared for service in Afghanistan
Have a valid US Secret Clearance
