Position Summary

As an employee of MAG Aerospace, you will perform duties as an Armorer, providing maintenance and repair services on weapons. Maintains weapons logbooks, maintenance data forms, and weapons fault isolation, remove and replace faulty weapons hardware, verification of repais of the weapons systmes and Load/Unload Weapons as required and provides launch and recovery operations of installed weapons at the FARP. Performs only authoirzed maintenance as per OEM standards. Orders repair parts as required, maintains authorized stockage list (ASL) database. Accounts for all weapons in her/her custoday. Shall have well-developed written and verbal communication skills

***Location is Afghanistan and Offers a Rotational Schedule***
***Must be Physically Capable of Completing CRC and Working in an Overseas Location Under Austere Conditions.***
***Deployment Paperwork/Certifications: Passports, Flight Chamber, Flight Physicals etc. Must Be up to Date***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain an arms room ensuring proper security, issuance, return and accountability of weapons, also conducting maintenance and repairs on weapons
Perform inventory control, to include ordering of bench stock, receiving, issuing, and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment.
Properly store and maintain all ammunition.
Develop and maintain a standardized inventory and identification processes to ensure accountability of all weapons assigned.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all assigned weapons, maintain records, publications, and manuals.
Develop and maintain a weapons safety program, SOP’s, checklists, ensuring proper storage, handling, and inventory of weapons and ammunition.
Conduct all weapon maintenance IAW OEM standards.
Utilize Microsoft Office products to conduct daily duties.


Requirements

Education and Experience
Shall possess weapons repair certification from various manufacturer for the weapons required by Task Order
4 years’ experience as an Armorer; MOS 45B, 91F, 2111 or equivalent.
Shall possess technical knowledge of weapons repair/maintenance principles, methods and procedures.
Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Must be medically and physically fit for duty.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
4 years Military, Law Enforcement or equivalent Civilian Armorer;
1 year OCONUS

Other Qualifications
Must possess or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Passport.
Must possess or be capable of obtaining an Afghan Visa.
Must provide weapon repair certificates (U.S. Military, manufacturer, or other civilian course/sources).
