Warehouseman (FN)

The Warehouseman will be based at the one of three PAE sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract. This position will be responsible for the offloading, movement, storage and relocating of various types of equipment, material, and supplies throughout the project. The Warehouseman will assist with inventory of incoming shipments as well as with periodic inventories conducted and will report to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all  inclusive.

DUTIES:
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
Assist with inventory of incoming shipments as well as with periodic inventories conducted.
Unpack, repack, and reconfigure items for proper storage in the warehouse or other locations within the project.
Drive and/or operate various types of warehouse vehicles or equipment, including but not limited to flatbed trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks and other types of warehouse equipment.
Issue inventoried items to various PAE employees by preparing hand receipts using an automated system.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment and comply with all safety rules & procedures to include personnel protective equipment (PPE).
Coordinate with other logistics and project personnel to complete tasks.
Other duties will require activities such as - unpack, repack and reconfigure items for proper storage in the warehouse or other locations within the project.
This is not a supervisory role, but does require the ability to coordinate with other logistics and project personnel to complete tasks.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIRED:
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: Two (2) years’ experience in warehouse or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Intermediate skills working with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
o Must be able to learn MAXIMO
o Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
o Define problems and collect data while establishing facts to draw valid conclusions.
o Interpersonal skills relating to PAE employees and the U.S. Government.
o Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and flexible with priorities.
o Able to read, write, comprehend and effectively communicate in English to positively reflect upon the department and the project.
o Stand, walk, and sit; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
o Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
o Ability to work in a hostile, harsh, dusty and hot work environment.
o Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
o Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.

Education: A high school diploma or GED.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers’ license from Home of Record.

Security Vetting: Already possess a US Government issued security clearance or Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification or US Government clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract.

Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills

Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required.

Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by PAE and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.

DESIRED:
1 year experience with Material Handling Equipment Relevant certifications and training on this equipment.
Knowledge of proper loading techniques and forklift weight capacities.
Previous out of home country experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.
Experience working with PAE.

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:
This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
