Job Description
Sincerus is seeking a Sr. Soldier Skills Trainer for work in various Sub-Saharan African countries partnered with the US State Department's GPOI (Global Peace Operations Initiative) training program. GPOI has absorbed the Africa Contingency Operations Training and Assistance (ACOTA) program. GPOI manages the program under the Department of State's Bureau of Political-Military Affairs in collaboration with the Bureau of African Affairs/Security Assistance (AF/SA). The program provides mentoring, advising, and training support and assistance to Host Nation (HN) training centers, their cadre, and units (company to brigade size and including multi-national force headquarters) in training for peacekeeping missions. This training may include extensive field training as well as training, equipment and infrastructure support for the training center and its staff and instructors.

Roles and Responsibilities

(Subject to variation based on Program and Partner Nation needs)
Serves as the Team Lead's SME on Soldier Skills and lead Soldier Skills Trainer.
Ensures quality control and consistency through the Soldier Skills Training.
Acts as the lead Soldier Skills Trainer providing mentoring, advising, and training support to the Host Nation's units, training centers and their cadre.
Actively assesses risk within their training team and works with the Team Lead to mitigate.
Hosts AARs and actively works to improve POI's and systems based on AAR feedback

Required Qualifications
Minimum of ten (10) years of U.S. or NATO military experience in a combat arms specialty (combat arms, Army or Marines, is defined as armor, cavalry, engineer, field artillery, infantry, or special forces).
Attainment of military grade of E-7 or higher (or NATO equivalent).
Experience deployed to an overseas contingency operation since September 11, 2001.
Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) training experience in the last 5 years.
Experience as a senior trainer to a foreign security partner with directly related experience in capacity building and unit level assessments.

Preferred Qualifications
French language proficiency (2:2) for Francophone countries.
Experience as an instructor in soldier skills training unit developing individual and collective skills intended to develop technical and tactical proficiency.
Regional experience in Sub-Saharan Africa.
