Job Summary
The Security Specialist shall coordinate/perform all security- and safety-related matters associated with the Civilian Police (CIVPOL) Police Program’s Palestinian Security Sector Transition task order to promote a safe work and living environment for all DynCorp International employees and official visitors, and safeguard of all company and Government Furnished assets. The Security Specialist reports to the in-country Deputy Program Manager (DPM) or his/her designee.

Principal Accountabilities
Conducts formal security surveys to assess risk and safety concerns related to anticipated and current company operations in the selected geographic area and host country. Examples of items to be addressed are: political/civil disorder or unrest, physical security/safety of buildings, criminal activity, availability and quality of appropriate life support systems, and travel warnings.
Compiles and distributes current security/safety intelligence to appropriate employees in regard to potential, developing, or existing situations that place company employees and /or assets at risk.
Leads role in developing and implementing strategies/plans to mitigate or eliminate identified risks.
Develops and implements systems to rapidly notify employees of identified hazards and risks that may place them in jeopardy, and allow preemptive measures on their part.
Develops, implements, and coordinates emergency evacuation plans for each location company employees are assigned.
Develops and maintains liaisons with area US government security personnel and local community leaders as a source of information as to developing or known events that may pose risk, (i.e. religious holidays, demonstrations, police/military actions, etc).
Leads role in planning and executing employee travel and transportation of deliverable materials pursuant to the contract.
At the direction of the DPM, conducts investigations into matters concerning security, safety, property accountability, (i.e. theft, employee injuries, automobile accidents, and etc).
Identifies equipment, documentation, hardware or software needed to maintain a viable security system and initiates corrective action with management.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education
High school level plus some advanced training and experience in the area of security.
Five (5) years experience related to security. Strongly prefer foreign experience in a high-risk middle-eastern locale.

Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Ability to travel and work within the countries of Israel, Jordan, and Egypt.
