The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Trainer - Security for a FIFO position on Lihir Island, PNG. Reporting to the Senior Specialist - Operations Support, you will be required to operate as part of a training team to develop a security syllabus capable of attaining National Training Council accreditation and deliver to both Newcrest and Contract security colleagues. Furthermore, to develop and deliver bespoke training packages to reflect the unique challenges of Gold Mine Security and Specific requirements for the Newcrest Lihir Gold Mine.

Essential criteria:
Relevant asset protection / security training certification (essential)
A minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience (Police or Defence Force service, highly desirable).
Demonstrated practical experience in a security training role delivering and assessing training material and products (essential).
National Training Council certifications (highly desirable):Instructor, Level 2 - Trainer and Level 3 - Assessor
Minimum of Grade 12 Education (essential)
PNG Driver's License - Class 6 (essential).
Ability to execute and deliver reports on fundamental security requirements such as; security surveys, operating procedures and conduct field level risk
Ability to write factual and chronological security training
Demonstrated knowledge of security industry and PNG legislation relating to; human rights, use of force, powers of arrest and trespass
Ability to participate in job function and training needs analysis.
Ability to develop, timetable and assess training packages and deliver and practical and written training assessments.
Ability to maintain the security Training Matrix (Training records) and training equipment.
Flexibility to assist with Security Operations as and when required.
Moderate level of computer literacy and working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution.

Requirements:
Must be open to FIFO in PNG
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
Must have proof of a completed Police Clearance within the last 6 months.
