Regional Security Manager, S.Korea

A. Overall

We are currently recruiting a Regional Security Manager, Korea (RSM Korea) to join our team based in Seoul city.

The RSM Korea will drive security business development and delivery of all security service solutions. The RSM Korea will drive the development and positioning of our Workforce Resilience solutions across subscription service, consulting and training, in order to support the delivery of best-in-class analysis, advice and assistance. The RSM Korea will be also responsible for the delivery of consistent, high quality security assistance services through close supervision and management of the day-to-day service delivery. The RSM Korea is also responsible for ensuring effectiveness of Korea security operational planning, and readiness to deliver quality information collection and assistance services for both Korean outbound clients as well as global clients operating in South Korea

Lead and manage Korea security team, and building and enhancing team capability
Drive the business growth of the Workforce Resilience solutions and its security solutions in South Korea through a focus on quality of service and support to International SOS sales and marketing efforts
Identify, Scope, and Deliver Security Consulting and Training, Managed Services and all other security solutions, in close coordination with South Korea Sales team and Asia Pacific/Global security leadership
Support training of Korea sales and marketing team on Workforce Resilience & Security Consulting solutions
Responsible for managing the resourcing of Korea Security Desk, and ensure that Korean clients’ calls and cases are effectively managed to the highest levels of customer satisfaction in line with agreed service delivery standards and procedures, during both BAU and Crises, including on-call roster participation
Responsible for the overall quality of Korea Security Desk output and its KPI achievement, and implementation and execution of Quality Management System
Deploy as part of an Incident Management Team in Asia Pacific or globally in response to an incident where clients require on-the-ground assistance

B. Key Responsibilities

1) Business Development
Drive the growth of the Workforce Resilience solutions and its security solutions in South Korea through a focus on quality of service and support to International SOS sales and marketing efforts:
Major focus on driving the growth of security business as a key strategic agenda
Contribute to Sales team efforts to win significant Workforce Resilience Solutions new business or renewal opportunities
Manage security solutions sales pipeline in conjunction with South Korea sales teams
Proactively contribute to the marketing activities, including speaking/writing engagements
Identifying business opportunities through calls received on the Korea Security Desk, Korean clients’ exposure worldwide and the key area of interest
Support localisation of solutions, online content, case studies, marketing collaterals in close coordination with associated leadership from Marketing, Product, Operations
Support training of Korea sales and marketing team on Workforce Resilience & Security Consulting solutions

2) Intelligence and Operations
Responsible for managing the resourcing of Korea Security Desk, and ensure that Korean clients’ calls and cases are effectively managed to the highest levels of customer satisfaction in line with agreed service delivery standards and procedures, during both BAU and Crises, including on-call roster participation
Responsible for the integration with Seoul Assistance Centre and wider Medical and Security Assistance Service platform to ensure seamless medical and security service deliveries
Responsible for the overall quality of Korea Security Desk output and its KPI achievement, and implementation and execution of Quality Management System
Responsible for the maintenance of Asia Pacific Concept of Operations for South Korea and other designated locations, and security operational readiness of Korea Security Desk with the guidance and support from associated leadership
Deploy as part of an Incident Management Team in Asia Pacific or globally in response to an incident where clients require on-the-ground assistance
Build and maintain a network of high-quality security service providers in South Korea and in APAC, under the direction of the Asia Pacific Security leadership

3) Security Consulting and Training
Identify, Scope, and Deliver Security Consulting and Training, Managed Services and all other security solutions, in close coordination with South Korea Sales team and Asia Pacific/Global security leadership
Develop delivery capability in South Korea, and review the quality of consulting and training delivery

4) Management
Effectively represent Security leadership in International SOS South Korea country management team, contribute to the Asia Pacific security leadership
Lead and manage Korea security team, and building and enhancing team capability, ensure close coordination with administrative management to make sure necessary administrative support is provided from Medical and Security Assistance Service management
Actively support the career development of the Security Managers and Specialist in Korea in accordance with Learning and Development standards


C. Job Qualification

1) Qualifications
Undergraduate degree (or relevant professional experience and training) in a field related to security, politics, history or international relations studies.

2) Desirable Work Experience
Experience in security: military, police, intelligence, NGO or relevant field of academia
Intelligence analysis / political or security analysis experience
Security planning or crisis management expertise
Client management experience
Extensive domestic (South Korea) and international travel experience
Business development related experience

3) Required Skills and Knowledge
Fluent in spoken and written in English (business level) and in Korean (native level desired)
Business development, consultancy and sales aptitude
Planning and execution of security operations and/or reporting and analysis and/or risk or crisis management experience
International work experience
Effective communication skills
Effective report writing
Strong influencing skills
Relationship building and strong presentation skills in English
