Your Responsibilities
As an Executive Protection Lead for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will manage the safety and security of senior-level personnel as situations dictate and/or as directed. In addition, you will:
Develop senior level operational protection plans to ensure effective security measures are established.
Identify threats and vulnerabilities associated with senior-level staff via site visits, assessments, intelligence gathering, and other means. Mitigates identified risks through proactive measures.
Review the risk environment and conduct investigations specifically related to threats directed towards senior-level personnel.
Maintain proficiency in relevant protective services training such as close protection, defensive driving techniques, and weapon knowledge.
Liaison with private and public resources in support of the senior-level protection mission.
Provide direction to a team of proprietary and/or contract personnel supporting the senior-level protection mission.
Responsible for the company Armed Proprietary Workforce Program under the direction of the Director Enterprise Security & Preparedness.

What Skills You Need
8 or more years of experience in Law Enforcement, private security, or specialized military training to include executive protection
Experience with crisis management strategies
Experience with criminal justice agencies, processes and procedures
Knowledge of current criminal and civil laws and procedures at the local, state, and federal level
Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive situations and make difficult decisions
Ability to acquire, apply, and disseminate intelligence
Ability to determine credible and seriousness of potential threats
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 60%
