PAE is supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in providing specialized training, advisory and mentoring services to host nations under the Criminal Division’s International Criminal Investigative Training and Assistance Program (ICITAP). https://www.justice.gov/criminal-icitap ICITAP is a cornerstone of America’s global strategy for combating transnational crime, terrorism, countering trafficking in persons, establishing rule of law and enhancing human rights in developing countries. PAE is the contract service provider to the DOJ ICITAP and Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) programs.
Please Note: This is an Independent Contractor position with PAE, it should not be considered an employment relationship with PAE.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for the Law Enforcement Advisors will be to work as part of a team delivering tactical and field training to instructors for the new Armenian Patrol Police. The LEA will deliver the prepared lectures as part of a training team while also mentoring past training of trainers (TOT) graduates as they begin their own courses to prepare first-line officers in the patrol police. Instructors will be expected to provide monitoring and documentation on the progress of students throughout the administration of the class curricula.
Required Qualifications:
15 years experience, with a combination instruction and sworn in law enforcement, with classroom and practical experience as well as instructional methods and procedures
Skill communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
Experience adapting training and instructional materials to meet the varying skill and knowledge level of students.
Experience teaching one or more of these topics: basic street patrol, officer safety, defensive tactics, problem-oriented policing, vehicle safety and emergency driving; vehicle stops; call-for-service scenarios; arrest procedures; building-entry; crowd control; criminal and administrative investigation; and human rights/ethics
Past experience working abroad is preferred.

Planned Work Schedule (# days per month) – Approx. 26 total fee days
Work Location (City) – Yerevan, Armenia
Work Site (Embassy, DOJ Facility, Ministry, etc.) – Offsite Office to be rented by PAE
Any Additional Incentives (Danger Pay %, Post Differential %, Reduced Per Diem, etc.) - Travel expenses covered, including per diem (lodging and M&IE)
