Position Summary
Responsible for escorting of all non-cleared personnel, janitorial/maintenance crews, and contractors performing work in secure areas of the mission or other locations as directed by the supervisor to ensure that secure areas remain uncompromised.
Contractor Escorts will conduct a head count on all sub-contracted personnel and maintain line of sight at all times as they perform services.
Escorts will ensure that sub-contractors do not bring unauthorized items with them unless a waiver has been provided by the government.
As a Contractor Escort, ensure worksites are secure upon completion of work and that all uncleared personnel have exited the area.
Prepares and ensures that all materials entering a CAA have been inspected by designated personnel prior to entering.
May be responsible for local procurement items required for use within the CAA space, according to the randomized procurement methods described in relevant sections of the Foreign Affairs Manual.
As required, responsible for the control and safe operation of any job-related equipment and supplies.
Responsible for preparing Incident Reports of any and all work-related problems, work orders and security incidents to the appropriate sections.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively and tactfully communicate with many levels of personnel in a variety of environments.
May be working in a multicultural environment where knowledge of local customs and laws would be required.
Valid US or local driver's license and US passport.
Active Secret Clearance.
Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
