Primary Function
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the CCTV and other component systems of the electronic security system (ESS) in accordance with the base defense operations center (BDOC) standard operating procedures (sop) and conducting 'on-the-job' training with members of the host nation military, including Iraqi air force officers and senior NCOs.
Responsibilities
Monitor the components of the electronic security system (ESS) within the scope of BDOC sop.
Respond to significant events and to provide an initial first response to any such events as directed by the shift supervisor.
Identify suspicious events and ensure concerns are appropriately communicated to the shift supervisor.
Assist with controlled movement of quick response forces (QRF).
Operate BDOC workstations as directed by the shift supervisor.
Conduct 'on-the-job' training with members of the host nation military.
Maintain accountability of assigned weapons.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Graduate of electronic security systems or CCTV operations certification courses highly preferred.
Knowledge of basic principles of physical security and use of mobile security assets (quick response forces) is highly desirable.
If using us military time to meet requirements, resume must include a DD-214.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Must have at least 3 years' verifiable experience within an electronic security systems / operations center with a private security company or military, government or law enforcement agency.
Must have at least 2 years' verifiable experience operating in a high threat, hostile or non-permissive environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced level of IT skills to include: MS office (word, excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint).
Maintain excellent communications skills even when working under pressure.
Able to create and maintain positive working relationships in a multicultural team.
Ability to present training and mentor host nation personnel.
Very good attention to detail and adherence to approved process' and procedures.
Consistently demonstrates integrity, trustworthiness loyalty and commitment.
Ability to work well under pressure and in austere living conditions with the potential for an element of danger.
