Job Description
Provides functional and administrative support for Security operations and personnel as assigned. May support force protection operations and personnel security. Assists with investigations, audits, screenings and other security initiatives as assigned. Supports Security management in evaluating and
improving security training, security awareness, residential security, office and project security, airport security, secure vehicular movement and route selection, counter surveillance and threat assessments. May review and issue routine correspondence, update records, check status of in-process activity, enter data or updates in electronic systems, and maintain files and electronic documentation as required. May provide status updates and coordinate routine activity with other personnel and departments. Follows established procedures, maintains the security of project data and keeps senior personnel informed as appropriate.
Basic Job Requirements
Require Security Clearance
Preferred: High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and three (3) years to six (6) years related experience. Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. Security clearance (Secret or above) may be required for this position.
Other Job Requirements
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.
