Job Description
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB/the Bank) is seeking to recruit a dynamic professional to assume the role of Security Coordinator in the Administrative Services Unit of the Human Resources and Administration Department (HR&A). The successful candidate will be based at CDB’s office in St. Michael, Barbados.

The Role
The Security Coordinator (SC) will assist the Bank in meeting its Duty of Care responsibilities. He/she will report to the Manager, Administrative Services and will support the Bank in building a security culture that supports all of the Bank’s staff and operating activities.

The successful candidate will initiate new policies and procedures while maintaining the corporate objectives of the Bank. He/she will be required to supervise security arrangements for the CDB facilities, premises, meeting and conference venues and provide security training, advice and briefings to staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

A Bachelor’s degree or a Masters’ level degree or equivalent from a recognised institution in an area related to Security Management and/or Risk Management.

A minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant experience in Security, Safety and Risk Management of which at least five should be in a senior role with a Military, Police, or Institutional Safety and Security Department.

Desirable

A second language competency - preferably Dutch, French or Spanish.
