Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM), with technical and policy support from the Regional Field Security Officer (RFSO) and in close collaboration with the Head of Office of Staff Security (OSS) at Headquarters (HQ) and Programme Managers at IOM Mozambique, the successful candidate will be responsible for all security and safety matters related directly or indirectly to all IOM personnel and property in Mozambique.
S/he will supervise security unit of the Country Office (CO) and, in coordination with the RFSO, implement appropriate safety and security management procedures that will effectively address staff safety and security as well as ensure the protection of IOM assets. S/he will also be responsible for aspects of the CO's and its programmes safety and security; implement IOM's Safety and Security Policy and the security policies and procedures of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in accordance with the UNDSS-IOM Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
