Reports to: PAE – AEK Support Services Manager
Performance Location: The individual filling this position will be supporting PAE on a contract for the US Department of State and working at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. Periodic travel with extended overnight stays may be required while working on related DOS projects in Afghanistan. Percentage of travel will vary significantly but on average is expected to be less than 10% of the total time.
Working Environment: The candidate will work in a traditional office setting as well as construction and maintenance sites including exposure to the dangers inherent with such sites.
Work Schedule: This position works ten hours/day six days a week minimum. The candidate is on-call 24/7 and must be willing to respond quickly to all critical electrical issues.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates shipping, receiving and inventory for all machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, parts and/or supplies necessary to support operations of the PAE AEK project sites in Afghanistan.
Coordinates with the AEK procurement team to optimize shipping and related logistics to meet program performance goals, objectives / standards, service delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Coordinates APO mail pick up and disbursement and administrative requirements.
Processes inventory transactions in a timely manner to maintain current and accurate materials records. Maintain accurate records of inventory incoming, outgoing receipts, transfers (both in Maximo system and all hardcopy records) by performing materials control, receiving and storage of plant materials.
Manage Inventory levels and data in database to prevent stock-outs and over-stock. Maintain an effective and efficient inventory system.
Ensure optimal integrity of reliability-critical databases via regular data reviews, loading, monitoring and reporting through Maximo Inventory System.
Lead or assist in identification and execution of continuous improvement in regard to full utilization of the features of MAXIMO System.
Provide technical support and training to system users in order to facilitate the smooth implementation of the features of MAXIMO system.
Lead team problem solving to develop process improvements.
Inform procedural changes to the other employees who will have impact due to the changes.
Ensure the smooth coordination between MAXIMO System and Costpoint.
Analyzes current processes and procedures to identify improvement areas leading to elimination of non-value-added steps and recommend value added solutions.
Maintain and propose updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data management systems and their associated work processes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Experience and Qualification Levels:
The candidate will have the following experience and/or qualifications for this position:
A minimum of three years of experience in Logistics and Inventory
Must have good organizational and communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
Three years overseas experience in an austere OCONUS environmental.
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Management.
Prior experience with Maximo and CostPoint software is required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline is preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
Language Requirement:
Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management and the client.
Citizenship:
US Citizenship is required for this position.
Clearance:
Must have a Secret or Top-Secret Clearance for the position.
