JOB INTRODUCTION:
The Security Manager (SM) is responsible for delivering operational aspects of the Contract
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
The Security Manager (SM) is responsible for delivering operational aspects of the Contract including:
oversee all mobile and static security operations
synchronising security operations
information management
managing the operations room and communications personnel
oversee the management of the Situational Awareness Team (SAT) effort
controlling emergency response/incident management
coordinating training (induction and continuation) and
managing all leave cycles for the project
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The SM must have:
at least five (5) years’ experience in operations management overseeing planning and Protective Security operations, including static guarding, personal security, intelligence, threat assessment and CPP
previous military or law enforcement experience of not less than 10 years with an excellent record of conduct. Must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from employment
experience with risk management including risk management planning and qualitative risk analysis
excellent leadership skills
experience with training and managing operational teams
mental health first aid training and
excellent communication skills, with experience in multiple levels of communication between various levels of management, internal and external.
Desirable
previous experience working in a diplomatic environment
previous in-country experience in a similar capacity and
a working knowledge of the local language.
