JOB INTRODUCTION:
The 2IC CPP (CPP 2IC) is responsible for assisting the CPP TL in managing the CPP Team’s movements and planning

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
The 2IC CPP (CPP 2IC) is responsible for assisting the CPP TL in managing the CPP Team’s movements and planning including:
organising reconnaissance and/or liaison
conducting client liaison prior to task being conducted
planning and execution of all CPP operations in collaboration with CPP TL and SA
commanding and controlling of the CPP Team in the absence of the CPP TL
providing client and team brief prior to task and
conducting team training.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The CPP 2IC must have
served as a member of a personal security detail or a close personal protection team for a minimum period of two (2) years
at least two (2) years’ experience operating in a high risk environment
previous military or law enforcement experience of not less than five (5) years with an excellent record of conduct. Must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from employment
relevant CPP or other qualifications obtained in military or policing roles, and or relevant CPP or other qualifications or accreditation obtained through a recognised private sector registered training organisation
been trained as a minimum to HLTAID005 First Aid in Remote Situations competency standard
experience with Electronic Countermeasures Equipment
drivers licence to operate armoured vehicle
good problem solving skills
excellent leadership skills
Mental health first aid training and
excellent communication skills, with experience in multiple levels of communication between various levels of management, internal and external.

Desirable
previous experience working in a diplomatic environment
previous in-country experience in a similar capacity and
a working knowledge of the local language.
