JOB INTRODUCTION:
The Deputy Security Manager - Static (DSM – Static) is responsible for the management of static security guard force and guard force planning
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
The Deputy Security Manager - Static (DSM – Static) is responsible for the management of static security guard force and guard force planning, which includes:
command, control and administration of all on-site static security guard force (SSG)
management and oversight of shift change procedures
assisting the PM and RSO in the event of an emergency or incident on the compound
coordinating with the RSO for receiving Australian Embassy visitors
liaising with clients
deploying the SSG Incident Response Team (IRT) as required
scheduling work cycles for Female Screener, interpreters and EDD Teams
administration oversight of the SSG accommodation and
conducting and supervision of all SSG training.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The SSM must have:
at least five (5) years experience operating in high risk environments
previous military or law enforcement experience with an excellent record of conduct. Must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from employment
sound knowledge and skill sets regarding the planning and execution of base security operations including management of a static guard force in a high threat environment
excellent communication skills, with experience in multiple levels of communication between various levels of management, internal and external
excellent leadership skills.
Desirable
previous experience working in a diplomatic environment
previous in-country experience in a similar capacity and
a working knowledge of the local language.
