Job Summary

The Safety Supervisor supervises and supports implementation of DCP’s field and office HS&E program and occupational safety and health regulations in regional operations.

Principal Accountabilities

Supervise daily operations, tasking and administrative control for FSPs and HSE Coordinators located on LOGCAP supported sites within a specific Area of Operation (AOR)
Inspect work upon completion for soundness of technical judgment, quality control, and
adherence to requirements
Supervise training and mentoring of field safety professionals and HSE coordinators
Supervise the preparation and maintenance of relevant reports and documentation regarding the safety program
Conduct reviews of potential risks on projects (HS&E, contracting and insurance) and identifies potential mitigation measures
Provides regulatory and policy review and interpretation and technical advice
Assist in the communication HS&E program requirements to functional group leaders
Assist in investigation of incidents and complaints concerning HS&E risks
Recommend improvements to HS&E improvements to HS&E tools, processes, policies and training
Advise regional supervisor of safety related matters and provides recommendations for corrective actions to mitigate issues of non-compliance
Act as Regional Safety Manager in the event of his/her absence
Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to produce high quality documents suitable for training
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience & Education

Associate’s Degree in an associated discipline; two (2) years experience in an associated field may be substituted for each of the two (2) years of college. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
OSHA 30 General Industry Certification
Minimum five (5) years Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related experience with at least two (2) years of previous LOGCAP experience
Physical Requirements/Working Environment

Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel

Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications



Must have ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance at proper level
