PAE Government Services, Inc is seeking a Trainer in Infantry Tactics for its USG Contract in BAMAKO, MALI.
The trainer must have working experience with African Militaries or especially with West Africa Militaries. The individual will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing training, both theory and practical lessons for the program. The trainer will also communicate and coordinate with host country military personnel with regards to the coordination and execution of training. He/she will appraise the performance of trainees and submit reports to the Operations Manager as determined by the Operations manager.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct day to day training activities as laid out in the Program of Instructions (POI).
Coordinate with Mali Military Representative with regards to training at the site and also inform Ops Manager if necessary.
Compiles daily or weekly reports as determined by the Operations Manager and submit same for his action.
Improvise materials when necessary during practical lessons.
Perform other duties as determined by the Operations Manager.
Coordinate with Mali Military Representative to recce possible site for practical training within or outside the military zone.
Train personnel to deliver operational orders using models, planning and executions of missions and tactics.
Advices the Operations Manager with regards to training matters.
Sets both weekly test and examination questions for assess trainees.
Record and keep detailed records or data of trainees.
Write and submit After Action Report (AAR) to the Operations Manager at the end of training.
Give a detailed brief to trainees anytime practical lessons are to be held outside the classroom to ensure safety is adhered to.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years working experience in an infantry unit or teeth arm.
At least 5 years of working experience as a military instructor or trainer.
Ability to write and speak French is an advantage.
At least 2 – 3 years working experience with African or West African Militaries.
Ability to work under arduous conditions or environment.
At least 2 – 3 years working experience with ACOTA as a trainer is an advantage.
Ability to train/impart knowledge to personnel under no supervision.
Should have well developed communication and presentation skills.
Ability to write and speak the English language.
Ability to give or present lessons using power point presentations.
Willing to work outside normal working hours when necessary.
Ability to manage and work effectively and positively with all team members.
Willing to work in remote places or locations under austere conditions.
Desired qualifications:
-French linguist preferred.
-Previous experience in Africa.
-Previous Work experience under USG Contract in West Africa.
