Job Summary
AECOM has an opening for a Security Guard - Cleared in Kuwait.
Provides oversight and guidance to the assigned shift security guards in order to foster a safe and secure work environment. Ensures the guards are maintaining Security in compliance with Security Managers direction, Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provides leadership and guidance consistent with, and in support of section / corporate goals and objectives.
Ensures all security guards remain “fit for duty” and are in proper uniform and within the grooming standards.
Ensures assigned guards are fully versed in the duties and responsibilities of the position to which assigned and that they perform those duties in an efficient, effective, and professional manner.
Ensures all posts are manned as stated on the duty roster and security guards are manning their post per established SOPs, WIs, and the PWS.
Provides input to Supervisors for performance appraisals on subordinate personnel.
Assists in establishing, updating, and maintaining force protection standard operations procedures.
Prepares, publishes and posts daily duty scheduling and ensures duty logs are correctly completed.
Reports any alarms, suspicious activities, loss, damage or destruction of Government or Company property to the Security Operations Manager.
Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2 years of college preferred
Security Clearance is required.
Experience:
5-8 years of civilian and/or military security or law enforcement experience required.
3 years supervisory experience preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Must have knowledge of security operations and procedures
Must have knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
Must have advanced level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and other related applications
Must have advanced written and oral communications skills.
Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
