Security Specialist- Africa

The Security Specialist will focus on regional relationships, communications, education, pre-trip training, and employee awareness campaigns to help deliver a comprehensive approach to duty of care in Africa. The Specialist develops and oversees security risk management programs and processes to protect client staff, assets, and reputation in the region.

Represent Pinkerton core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
Understand the needs of client travelers and anticipate travel trends.
Advise on physical security for client sites and events within Africa.
Recommend security measures for travelers based on threat/risk reporting.
Review and recommend hotel accommodation for client travelers including through safe hotel programs.
Identify potential vendors within the region.
Implement SLA and KPI to appropriately measure the success and impact of travel support vendors.
Develop TSCM programs for vendor vehicles.
Review travel safety technologies for possible use by the client.
Develop accurate fiscal methodologies to predict future program spend.
Partner closely with frequent traveler teams to anticipate entry to emerging markets the client is not currently not supporting.
Develop risk appropriate, standardized travel support models.
Develop feedback tools for employees and modify programs, where needed, to support the business.
Work closely with internal partners, industry leaders, local government, security organizations, and OSAC.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards and follows company processes and standards.

Minimum Hiring Standards

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Must have General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or equivalent.
Must be willing to participate in the Company pre-employment screening process including drug testing and background investigation.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, cell phone).
Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.



Education/Experience

Bachelor degree with relevant security certification and three to five years of security management experience.
