SGI Global is seeking Law Enforcement Professional (LEP) personnel. The LEP program deploys selected former and retired Law Enforcement and Corrections Officers in support of US Central Command (CENTCOM). The role of LEP personnel at all levels is to Advise, Assist, Mentor and Train (AAM&T) U.S. and Coalition Forces to better execute their Law Enforcement and Corrections related responsibilities, including building capacity in Host Nation Security Forces (HNSF) in furtherance of Rule of Law (RoL) development.
Job Description:
Advise, assist and mentor the military personnel in all law enforcement or corrections matters.
Attend all Key Leader Engagements and meetings in which their presence is requested in order to provide law enforcement or corrections expertise.
LEPs assist US Army and Marine units by applying a law enforcement or corrections perspective to the execution of counterinsurgency operations.
LEP personnel may be embedded into all echelons from Corps through Battalion headquarters and select Companies
LEP personnel will support U.S., Coalition forces, and other U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agencies
LEP personnel will advise and assist U.S. and Coalition commanders, and their staff, using law enforcement or corrections expertise and methodology to understand, identify, target, penetrate, interdict, and suppress criminal-like enterprises and special group criminals.
Customer requirements upon time of hire affect employee unit assignments, deployment schedules, and individual employee compensation eligibility.
Serve as a resource for the supported commander to train correction skills to US Force or HNSF
Coordinate directly with counterparts at higher and subordinate headquarters and neighboring units to ensure unity and synchronization of effort.
Plan, deliver and lead training to US Forces or HNSF
This is an armed position. LEPs must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility to possess & operate a firearm in Afghanistan (AFG). They must successfully complete/maintain the Completion of Civilian Arming Authorization Mgmt System (CAAMS) requirements/documentation & Arming Authorization Letter from US Forces-Afghanistan and Afghan weapons permit from the Afghan Ministry of the Interior.
Qualifications:
Active and current TS and suitable for employment in a billet cleared to TS/SCI (DoD clearance preferred)
Physical and mental capacity to operate in Afghanistan's austere environment alongside U.S., Coalition and HNSF for a period of twelve (12) months with little respite.
Minimum of twenty (20) years Law Enforcement or Corrections experience with at least ten (10) years of specialized investigative or corrections experience.
Documented experience as supervisors, managers or task force leads in a federal agency, federal task force, state agency or large department. A large department is defined as a department with a minimum of 100 sworn officers.
Written communication skills to allow the LEP personnel to prepare written reports, information papers and other required correspondence.
Verbal communications skills to allow the LEP personnel to effectively deliver briefings and communicate related training to a diverse audience.
Strong computer literacy skills, focusing on the Microsoft suite of applications.
Be physically qualified to deploy
Be medically screened and cleared by a licensed medical doctor to meet theater deployment requirements prior to arrival at the projection platform.
