Primary Function
Perform personal protective service detail (PSD) assignments and ground movement operations as required. Actively supports and upholds the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.
Essential Functions
Responsible for Personal Security Detail (PSD) and Ground Movement planning and execution
Provide close protection services for clients and employees in high threat environments
Ensure strict compliance to the Work Plan, SOPs, FRAGOs, and any guidance pertaining to armed civilians and PSD/Convoy/Movement Operations
Tactically proficient and knowledgeable of Personal Security Detail (PSD) related duties, specifically as they pertain to Afghanistan
Driver or right front of lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, or follow vehicle
Carries and deploys personally assigned weapons as required
Participates in advance security preparations including route surveillance
Provides static security at the work site as required
Understands and utilizes tactical radios, tracking devises, and other communications equipment
Ensures the proper accountability, maintenance, and repair of property and equipment assigned to the PSD
Ensures all PSD vehicles are fully mission capable
Prepares and recommends revisions to the PSD Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Action Plans, and Training Plans as necessary to ensure proper execution of PSD requirements
Close coordination with the Tactical Operations Center on all movements
Prepares and submits reports and briefs as required
Prepare and conduct briefings to PSD team members, client(s), and management during the planning and execution of a PSD mission or security situations
Ensures that all incidents, accidents, and emergencies are reported as soon as possible to his supervisor
Assists with biometrics as required
Assists with security related Serious Incident Reports as required
Maintain a professional client relationship at all times to achieve project goals
Strives to achieve customer satisfaction
Adequately trained to carry and the use of weapons them safely; with full understanding of, and adherence to, the rules of the use of force issued by the Chief or Mission; and in compliance with applicable agency policies, agreements, rules, regulations, and other applicable law; are not barred from possession of a firearm by 18 U.S.C. 922; and adhere to all guidance and orders issued by the Chief of Mission regarding possession, use, safety, and accountability of weapons and ammunition
Acts in accordance with the Company Ethics Program
Reports to the PSD Asst Team Leader
Additional duties as directed
Job Requirements
Four (4) years’ experience in providing security services
A U.S. secret clearance is required
Prior PSD and static security experience required
Prior Afghanistan experience is preferred but not required
Prior military or police background
If prior military an Honorable Discharge is required
Not barred from possession of a firearm by 18 U.S.C. 922
Demonstrated proficiency with Glock 9mm and AK-47 and able to qualify on a range
Must be at least 21 years of age
Possess a valid driver’s license
Must have a valid passport and Visa
Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and ISF RS Badge
Must be computer literate; to include familiar with Microsoft Office
Must be available to work outside the normal schedule as required by needs of the company
Ability to work in harsh working conditions, outdoors, and/or in extreme temperatures
Ability to work in a remote and potentially austere location for up to six months
Must be willing to deploy OCONUS
Must be capable of traversing rugged terrain for extended periods of time (8 plus hours per day).
Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation
Must be able to pass a physical approving the candidate for overseas work
