In more detail, the following specific actions relating to The Trans-Sahara Counterterrorism Partnership (TSCTP) are required:
Assist the Chadian SATG Command Staff to develop staff practices and best methods to ensure a sustainable operational capabilities. Develop technical and administrative direction for the ANT Command Staff.
Provide advisory and mentor services to support the SATG Command Staff’s operations, training, logistics, maintenance, and supply.
Provide training services to familiarize personnel with improved SATG Command Staff operations and best practices. The Advisor shall perform the following activities to support training:
Ensure all SATG Command Staff personnel are able to perform their duties.
Provide qualified instruction participants in accordance with applicable training references.
Develop an assessment methodology that measures training effectiveness.
Provide an after-action report that identifies impediments to training implementation and develops a mitigation strategy.
Plan, design, and conduct refresher training tailored to the training effectiveness assessment.
Qualifications and Skills
Five (5) years’ experience working in Africa, post-conflict, and/or developing nations.
Ten (10) years’ special operations experience; as in a recognized U.S. Special Operations Forces organization as an operator.
Two (2) years’ experience advising foreign military forces.
Preferred French language skills (DLPT 2/2 or above).
U.S. Citizen capable of maintaining a Secret Security clearance

Full-time Employee (not rotational); contract duration is through 2023
Workweek: 48-hours per week, when locals work and may include working on traditional days-off.
Base pay plus all allowable State Department uplifts for Post Differential, Danger Pay, and COLA.
Short- and Long-term Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, CONUS Health Insurance, 401k Plan, and Tricare Supplement.
PTO/Holidays: 30 days of Paid Time off per year. RMGS provides 10-days of floating Holiday Leave (either U.S. or Local Holidays).
