Duties & Qualifications:

The Virginia based Security Advisor will join a team of security professionals who are responsible for managing the ASNA client’s corporate security programs throughout the United States. The role supports several cross functional teams in the arena of corporate security and safety, as well as offers support to global team members as directed. The position will report to the Head of Security for the Americas. This security professional will manage day-to-day security operations, large corporate special events, key customer engagements, budget, and all other security related challenges as directed.
Managing a large guard force across multiple regions throughout – as well as serving in support roles to the global team.
Identifying and managing emerging threats
Assisting in conducting security risk assessments and surveys
Maintaining situational awareness of the area of responsibility
Managing access control processes and equipment
Overseeing the deployment and quality of physical security
Planning and staffing very large special events
Security incident reporting and when needed investigations
Security budgeting and financial reviews
Interface regularly with security vendors
Develop and provide security awareness sessions
Manage security incidents and crisis
Conduct security audits and manage gaps to closure
Conduct comprehensive quality checks of all security services
Budget and financial management of areas of responsibility
Conducting basic investigations / fact findings to incidents
Developing security service and security integrator vendor relationships
Leads planning and execution of security vendor Service Level Agreements/ Key Performance Indicators, capacity, and workflow plans for single /multiple functional areas in one or more sites
Able to define metrics, goals, and strategic direction across functional area(s) in support of overall group vision
Leads initiatives and champions projects within and outside of organization or region; influences all participants when driving projects to ensure success
Identifies opportunities and risks, dives deep, and works with internal and external teams to implement solutions
Communicates effectively with senior management and leaders across the organization to determine security priorities and direction
Creates the development of internal and external security related communications across organization
Creates goal-setting, performance management, and retention strategies across multiple teams
Leads and drives development of security personnel skills sets


Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business Management, Accounting or similar studies; Alternatively, accredited equivalent documented educational hours of course study
7 years’ experience on a corporate security team with progressive management roles or equivalent experience
US resident

Preferred 
Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business Management, Accounting or equivalent education or experience
CPP, PSP, CISSP or similar certification
Strong working knowledge of physical security systems and components
Understanding of crisis operations, risk management, and crisis communication
Experience in providing security oversight at high rise buildings or other office settings / equivalent
Experience with access control systems
Experience writing and publishing security standards
Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to travel 25% of the time with little to no notice
Ability to stand long hours, lift 20 pounds and work at times in an industrial environment
Skilled in developing metrics and in conducting security related trend analysis
Ability to manage tactical (daily) operations and participate in development of strategic program plans
Experience in briefing senior management
Demonstrated experience in conducting basic investigations / fact finding
Familiarity with global security organizations
Ability to develop and deliver security awareness training programs
Understanding of business continuity and incident command system
Experience with the collection and analysis of threat intelligence
Ability to speak multiple languages that are common in the region is a plus
Preferred to have basic knowledge of LENEL access control system
Prior law enforcement or similar military experience
Advanced skills in maintaining a budget

Compensation & Benefits:
Annual Salary: Starting –$110k - After 6 months – $115k – After 1 year $120k
