Site Security Manager

Aegis Defence Services now seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced Consultants for a Site Security Manager

Hiring Criteria 
The SSM will be experienced in the management of site security and man guarding. He must be capable of contingency planning and adapting techniques at short notice to match changes in the environment.
Have a minimum of 7 years exemplary military, police or law enforcement experience.
Possess a minimum of 2 years Iraq experience.
He will have excellent diplomatic and communication skills and prior experience of private security company operations within a high risk environment. He will be capable of managing a 24/7 Local Guard Force including shift patterns.
He will ideally be a former British Military NCO or have a Police back ground with experience in site security and man guarding within hostile environments, ideally in the oil and gas industry, including operations within Iraq or Afghanistan.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with liaison, briefing and reporting at all levels, both with the client and within Aegis Defence Services Ltd. It is critical that the candidate be proficient with communications, CCTV and IT systems, particularly the Microsoft Office suite of software, be able to execute multiple tasks concurrently and possess superlative time management skills.
Clean Criminal record
Must have in-date FPOS-I Qualification
Must have Formal CP training & license from an accredited organization
Must have In-date frontline SIA license (for UK expats and countries that offer international equivalent)


Job Duties 
The role and main duties of the Site Security Manager willl be to maintain operational oversight and coordination of the LGF in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Duties will be include but not be limited to the following:
Monitor the operational status of the LGF; provide operational advice on the best allocation and employment of guard personnel, vehicles and equipment.
Maintain oversight of the LGF QRF to ensure optimal performance.
Development and management of the SOB Security Plan and SOPs ensuring they are relevant and fit for purpose to support the overall mission, threat and environment.
Conduct regular security evaluation exercise drills of LGF processes and procedures.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and formulate loss reduction initiatives.
Management and investigation of site security and emergency incidents including liaison and tasking of external agencies via the SOM and the compilation and incident reports.
Compilation, logging, distribution and storage of routine reports and returns.
Maintenance of training standards ensuring client confidence in capability.
Maintain quality assurance of all operational man guarding services.
Liaison with client regarding all security related issues and initiatives for continuous improvement or security enhancements.
Other tasks as directed by Project Manager or RMT Management staff deemed suitable for the position of SSM to undertake

Rate
Aegis offers a competitive daily rate (Contractor will only be paid whilst on-duty – no payment made for Off-duty)
*subject to local tax (if applicable)

Leave Rotation
8 weeks on, 4 weeks off, subject to operational requirements

Travel Pay
Contractors are not entitled to pay while travelling. You will be paid a half day rate on the first day you arrive in Theatre. You will not be paid on the day you depart from Theatre.

Visa Requirements
The fee for stamping the multiple entry visa onto the passport upon arrival in the airport, will be borne solely by the Contractor. The approximate cost for this transaction is US$202.

Package
Aegis will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support while on duty.

Flight Package
Aegis will provide an economy class return ticket per rotation to the project location from a hub airport as close as reasonably practicable to the Contractor’s declared home address.

The Contractor will be asked to declare their preferences for a primary, secondary and tertiary hub airport from the Aegis hub list at the commencement of their engagement. Where possible and commercially acceptable, Aegis will look to book travel to and from one of the preferred hubs.

The Contractor will be responsible for any travel arrangements between the hub airport and their home address.
