Security Manager

Job description:
Working for this very successful and ever growing organisation, as Security Manager you will be responsible for defining, implementing, managing and being accountable for physical security, electronic security and health & safety. Reporting to the Operations Director you will also make recommendations to local Management on identified requirements for investment and/or operational change to comply with statutory legislation, industry good practice, changes within the threat environment and expectations regarding security and safety.

The Security Managers purpose is to execute and manage all operational policies and procedures
related to Security, Health & Safety and incident response. The role shall address the needs of the organisations data and physical property, as well as staff, customers and visitors.
Effective implementation and management of Security and Health and Safety Policies.
Contract management of outsource Security service providers for both physical and electronic security including SLA and KPI review and management. Ensure consistent high-quality practice across the site.
Provide advice, support and recommendations to senior management on all evolving security or safety conditions which may impact the organisation. Be responsible for the consistency and readiness of physical security, and threat assessments.
Actively contribute to regulatory and industry accreditation process (gaining and maintaining the accreditation).
Train existing and new Operations staff, local security staff, guarding staff and H&S personnel in Policy implementation and maintenance. Monitor and mentor security and safety staff compliance with Policy.
Implement incident management policies, procedures, escalation plan, data management systems Manage security resources in 24 x 7 Operating Centre.
In the event of a major incident act as lead coordinator for all security related matters, reporting to senior management and liaising with any external agencies involved as necessary.
Develop, manage and maintain the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for the site ensuring sufficient scenario testing and training is carried out regularly.
Responsible for completing penetration testing to maintain the validation of security systems and processes used on site.

Candidate profile:
Strong corporate / engineering / construction security experience with excellent customer facing skills.
Knowledge of manned Security organisation & Management
Knowledge of Access control & CCTV systems
HSE Qualification highly desirable.
Knowledge and follow up of HSE local & EU requirements
Substantial experience in creating and implementing procedures
Team & planning management
Cost Management and budget follow up
