Job Summary
The Security Coordinator implements and coordinates security programs at assigned locations.
Principal Accountabilities
Implement and oversee Biometric Automated Toolset System (BATS) and/or physical security program at assigned sites
Lead security staff and conduct security training for BATS/Physical Security
Ensure local and foreign nationals entering the base are screened appropriately, verifying accurate collection of security data and entries into database, and maintaining security files in accordance with government and company guidelines
Review and analyze Threat/Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs) and security overviews
Conduct routine assessments of security operations to ensure compliance with applicable military directives, company policies, and host country laws
Implement and direct procedures for physical security, property accountability, and personal security
Investigate security violations, complaints, and losses; recommend corrective actions
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with US and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Military, FN Population, and Host Country Military, Police, and Nationals
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of Joint Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) procedures and practices
Intermediate knowledge of interviewing, investigative techniques, and writing reports of security incidents
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Team-oriented and treats others with dignity and respect
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Experience & Education
Minimum six (6) years of experience in US military or civilian security and law enforcement operations, physical security, BATS, AT/FP, and/or US military intelligence with at least three (3) years in a leadership role
Experience conducting risk, TVAs, and other force protection planning
Prefer Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in security-related field such as physical security, security management, criminal justice, AT/FP, business, or political science
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment for extended periods of time during high threat situations and stand for long periods of time
Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Personnel should be aware of moving/reassignment on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
