About The Role
As the Regional Security Manager Mexico/ACAC - LATAM, you will be responsible for the security of Uber’s people, properties, and assets throughout the region. You will work cross functionally with local, regional and HQ leadership to execute on globally focused projects, and own the development and execution of all security processes and programs in region

What You’ll Do
Oversee the Physical Security of all staff and sites
Employee safety
Asset protection
Traveler safety
Site security assessments
Coordination with business, GSOC, LE outreach, other key stakeholders
Risk assessments and mitigation
Management, selection, oversight of security guard vendors
Articulate surges, spend rationalizations, manage costs
Response to security incidents
Identifying training needs and delivering to personnel (risk based approach)
Investigations of theft/support for ER/HR
Training and Awareness for employees
Risk based / strategic approach to time management
Building and earning trust
Managing multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities
Effective coordination & leveraging of HQ resources
High quality verbal & written communication and follow up
Drive the physical security program forward at the regional level
What You’ll Need
5+ years experience in a security management role in a large corporate setting, but we will consider other candidates with relevant experiece
Recent hands-on experience throughout LATAM is mandatory
Military or law enforcement background is a big plus.
Creative ‘can do’ attitude towards problem solving
Attention to detail in both written and oral communication
Ability to manage security challenges in a constantly changing fast paced environment
Comfortable with ambiguity
Able to scale with the business and thrive in a rapid growth environment
Experience managing contract security services
A well established professional network of security contacts within the region
Capable of fostering a culture of Trust, Honesty and Integrity
Travel required as needed to get things done
Sharp, motivated co-workers in a fun office environment.
