Job Functions and Responsibilities
The G4/PBO Trainer/Mentor shall train counterparts on the following tasks:
Writing Paragraph 4 (Sustainment) for Operations Orders
Developing logistical plans and logistics estimates and including a logistics cell in forward-located Mission Command Packages
Monitoring critical classes of supply support
Developing and maintaining LOGSTATs and allocating logistical resource to include facilities
Assessing SOB units’ logistics capabilities and limitations
Planning and coordinating support to SOB units
Monitoring, managing and reporting of maintenance and recovery operations, and transportation requirements management
Synchronizing of battlefield resupply
Developing and coordinating medical logistics requirements and the retrograde and return of the remains of fallen SOB soldiers
Completing, processing, and maintaining required forms and documents
Reviewing property management concepts and procedures IAW the Afghan Decrees and all applicable SOPs, basic policies and procedures applicable to property book accountability, Tashkil items, MoD supply, and on actions to protect government materiel.
Determining the responsibility and the adjustment methods for lost, damaged, or destroyed equipment and administrative measures to enforce materiel accountability
Assisting on property accounting requirements, accountability oversight for all property on property books, proper transfer of accountability procedures for property book items
Preparing and organizing property book records/pages, and completing, processing and maintaining required forms and documents
Establishing and managing inventory requirements and procedures to include monthly sensitive items, monthly (cyclic) and annual 100% inventories
Providing logistics-focused presentations, assessment, reports, and other products as required to U.S. military leadership in support of the SOB and ANASOC
Completing training in Core Inventory Management System Enterprise Edition (CORE IMS-EE)
Reviewing and providing input into MoD Decrees as processes, procedures, and the operational environment evolves
Serving in an expeditionary role and performing ETAA missions.
Minimum Requirements
The G4/PBOTrainer/Mentor must have:
Secret Security Clearance
Former E8/CW3/O4 or higher in military occupations specialties of 88, 90, 91, 92, or 920 series of service component equivalent
Two (2) years experience in property book management at the battalion-equivalent level or higher
Combat experience
Background in Infantry or Special Operations
Background in training and advising foreign military soldiers
Twelve (12) months experience in Afghanistan and Special Operations Forces experience preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
U.S. Citizenship
Valid U.S. passport
MS Office and personal computer skills
Interpersonal and people skills
Organizational and project management skills
Willingness to work in hostile areas
Ability to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR and wear protective clothing and equipment as In the conduct of their training contractors may encounter hostile forces

This position is located in Afghanistan and requires the employee to deploy and live on forward operating bases operated by Afghan National Army under austere conditions without regular U.S. PX and Commissary facilities. Travel within the country and possible relocation (based upon the needs of the U.S. Government) to any location in Afghanistan is required.
