As part of the delivery of its strategic framework programs, the Organization receives financial support from its partners to implement a number of projects.

For the implementation of its projects, Plan International RCA hereby launches an appeal for the local recruitment of two safety and security officers based in Kaga Bandoro and Bossangoa.

Dimension of the role:

The Security and Safety Officer facilitates the movement of Plan-International's staff during travel in difficult areas and participates in various security meetings. He / she has his network of contacts. The Security Officer assesses security risks and applies appropriate mitigation measures.

Main Responsibilities

He / she has the following responsibilities:

• Acts as a liaison with the contract security agents

• Responsible for updating the communication tree

• Manages training, fire, radios etc ...

• Manage hibernation kits

• Occasionally accompanies teams on the field

• Manages security equipment: Thurayas, Motorola radio etc ...

• Ensures the security of the offices / Guest house.

• Participate in security meetings

• Responds to emergencies

• Assist colleagues in all safe situations

Qualifications and experiences

· General Education Level: Graduate degree or equivalent work in the field.

· Experience in unsafe / conflicting environments.

· Excellent communication and analytical skills combined with the ability to provide substantial reports, assessments and briefings in tight deadlines.

· Demonstrable understanding of humanitarian security practices and principles and their application.

· Excellent physical and mental condition, ability to perform well and manage teams in stressful situations.

Level of contact with children

Environment and physical requirements:

This position requires frequent travel in the areas of intervention (80%), constant availability and pressure work because of its urgency.
