Job Summary


The Security Specialist is responsible for biometric, information, operational, and/or physical security of company personnel and assets.

Principal Accountabilities
Perform physical security responsibilities including assigning personnel, conducting briefings, visiting assigned posts to oversee Local National (LN) guard force, assessing threats, investigating and writing up “Lost, Theft, Damaged, Destroyed” (LTDD) reports, and conducting training
Escort laborers during all phases of physical security upgrade and maintenance projects within, and the areas surrounding, Chief of Mission compound property
Write, maintain, and store security logs, reports, and files
Schedule and coordinate maintenance and repair of any physical security infrastructure and specialized equipment
Communicate with with local vendors to arrange for installation and report work.
Implement resource protection/loss prevention requirements and conduct security checks of personnel, grounds, and facilities
Coordinator with RSO FSN Investigator (vetting) staff to collect and submit security packages for local vendors.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with US and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Military, FN Population, and Host Country Military, Police, and Nationals
Perform other duties as assigned

Lean and abide by all USG contracting policies, procedures, rules and regulations

Experience & Education
Minimum one (1) years of security operations, physical security, and/or experience working in a hostile environment,
Prefer experience in construction, mechanical report, or equivalent
High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment for extended periods of time during high threat situations and stand for long periods of time
Working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions

Travel
Ability to travel domestically
