MVM, Inc. is seeking a qualified Certified Weapons Trainer Manager for the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service Caribbean Contract. The Certified Weapons Trainer Manager will help develop and conduct training programs for MVM DHS/FPS Caribbean Protective Security Officer’s (PSO’s). Under direction of the Project Manager (PM), the Certified Weapons Trainer Manager is responsible for scheduling, conduct and documentation of all training to ensure Contract compliance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable of the Contract, the Service Contract Act and the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement
Ensure that all officers receive professional and effective On the Job (OJT) training in accordance with MVM, FPS contract and site-specific SOPs
Maintains all required licenses and/or certifications to conduct all training required by the DHS/FPS Contract.
Develops post-specific training scenarios. Train supervisors in post-specific training and conducts on post training as required by the PM.
Ensure total Contract compliance in the performance of all training requirements and deliverables. All deficiencies will be reported immediately to the PM by telephone and followed by a detailed email including corrective actions taken.
Assist the PM by conducting site specific self-assessments of all relevant site-specific files and reports
Conduct routine inspections to ensure Contract compliance as directed by the PM.
Coordinate with the PM to ensure that work schedules are developed that account for officer training requirements



Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years conducting training in civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement or commercial security force service.
Must have all required licenses and/or certifications to conduct all training required by the DHS/FPS Contract such as First Aid, CPR, AED, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, OC Spray and Firearms Instruction.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, presentation and facilitation skills.
Capable of understanding and communicating technical content in basic terms.
Experience training programs for end users both stand-up, classroom and web-based delivery methods.
Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, meetings and workshops.
