Responsibilities
Conduct safety and security field reviews on a consistent basis assessing project security plans and procedures as well as the general security operating environment.
Responsible for crisis management response recommendations to EMT and leads crisis response implementation for Dexis globally
Review and revise Dexis existing security and crisis management strategy, policies and procedures for Executive team review and approval.
Provide technical consultations in regular re-assessments and re-drafting as necessary of security plans, crisis management plan and other related security protocols.
Develop security subcontract solutions for Dexis globally; responsible for the vetting, procurement and technical oversight of security subcontracts, adherence to scopes of work, performance reviews and cost effectiveness in support of our projects abroad.
Provide inputs on functional statements of work (SOW) to engage field security Dexis contractors who oversee sub-contractors capable of safeguarding employees, property, and facilities, in coordination with PMU and Senior Security Associate.
Make presentations and train staff and consultants as needed including through one-on-one mentoring; small group trainings; and corporate training programs.
Provide remote and/or on-site incident response and surge support on an as-needed basis
For existing high-risk country projects, provide security monitoring, assess active threats of terrorism, crime, social unrest/protest/demonstrations, kidnappings, the reliability of host country infrastructure and security forces, as well as regional and country challenges.
Identify security information and risk analysis platform, cost implications, and recommended timeline for implementation.
Provide security inputs, country assessments and protocols for new business as-needed basis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical area preferred; 10 years of military experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree permitted.
Minimum 8 years of implementing security platforms for civilian operations in conflict zones, to include successful crisis management
Knowledge of and previous working experience with USAID programs preferred
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
Experience living or working in developing countries preferred
Ability to solve complex technical, managerial or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
French language fluency strongly preferred
Level of Effort: 15-20 hours a week
